Thinking out of the Box

Water, could there be a simplier product as water? And should we sell it, if we can actually get it out of the tap for free and there are hundreads of water sellers in from of us?


Well yesss, but think out of the box a bit... here is an example of Liquid Death


Liquid Death is a real brand of water that has gained popularity for its unique marketing and packaging. Founded in 2018 by Mike Cessario, Liquid Death offers mountain water sourced from the Alps, packaged in 16.9-ounce (500 ml) "tallboy" aluminum cans.

The brand stands out due to its edgy, heavy-metal-inspired branding, featuring a skull logo and the slogan "murder your thirst." This distinctive approach appeals to a younger demographic and differentiates it from traditional bottled water brands.


Liquid Death emphasizes environmental sustainability by using recyclable aluminum cans, promoting a "death to plastic" message to reduce plastic waste.


In October 2022, Liquid Death was valued at $700 million, reflecting its rapid growth and strong market presence.

I think another example can be Tesla. It is not only an electric car company, but also a brand that has revolutionized the perception of EVs by making them high-performance and desirable. And Auntie Anne's pretzel chain launched a fragrance that captured the irresistible scent of their fresh-baked pretzels. This product created a memorable brand interaction and took the attentions beyond their typical food offerings.
